Vasco Steel

Vasco Steel is situated in the St. Pelagia Building, right at Shops No. 1 and 2. We are directly opposite Khalap Mansion here in Vasco Da Gama. It is a good location because it is easy for the delivery trucks to find us, even though the street gets crowded sometimes. We deal in all kinds of steel materials that people need for building or fixing things around their homes. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be clever about how we stack the rods and sheets. Most of the time, the place is a bit messy with offcuts and measuring tapes lying around. We don't have any big corporate goals or fancy mission statements. We are just local guys who know a lot about steel. Sometimes the salt in the air from being so close to the coast makes the metal a bit tricky to store, but we have our ways of keeping it in good shape. If you come by, you might see us sitting on a couple of crates having tea or arguing about a delivery that’s running late. It is a very normal, local business. We don't use any high-tech equipment for our sales, just a calculator and a ledger. Most of our regular customers are people we’ve known for years. We just keep our heads down, supply the steel, and try to keep things moving along.
