You'll find us down south in Palolem, specifically at house number 88 in the Ourem area. Canacona has a way of slowing everything down, which is probably why we like it here. We run Ourem 88 Restaurants and it's basically just us trying to keep things going in this corner of Goa. It's a bit of a walk from the main beach road but that makes it quieter. Some days are packed with tourists and other days it's just the local dogs wandering past the gate. Being a private limited setup sounds official, but mostly it's just a lot of hard work in the heat. We spend a lot of time fixing things or making sure everything is ready for the day. The salt air from the coast does a number on the paint, so there's always something to touch up. We didn't want to be in the middle of the crowded spots, so Ourem felt right. It's got that old-school vibe that's getting harder to find. We get our supplies from the local markets when we can. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out like everyone else. It's not a glamorous life, but it's ours. We enjoy the pace. If you're looking for us, look for the old house number.
