Zaneline Leather Wear

Zaneline Leather Wear is located at 143/145 in Okhla Indl. Estate Phase-Iii. It is a pretty industrial area with lots of trucks coming and going all the time. Our space is filled with the sound of cutting tools and the heavy thud of the presses. We have been working with leather for a long time and the shop floor always has that distinct animal scent that never really goes away. It is a practical place where we focus on the actual work rather than how things look to outsiders. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but we are usually too busy with the orders to worry about that. We have different sections for cutting, stitching, and checking the final items. Everyone has their own spot on the bench and they stay there for most of the day. We get a lot of dust from the street so we are always dusting off the finished pieces before they go into the cartons. It is not the kind of place where you wear a suit to work. Most of us are in old clothes because of the glue and the dyes we use. Sometimes a machine breaks down and we have to spend half the afternoon fixing it ourselves. It is just how things go in a place like Phase III. We just keep working until the sun goes down and then we head home to do it all again tomorrow.
