Evergreen Leather Works is tucked away on Lane No. 3 in Tuglakabad Extension. If you come by Rz-1/33, you will likely smell the leather before you even see the sign. We have been working with hides and skins for a long time. It is a messy job, really. There are scraps of leather on the floor and heavy machines running most of the afternoon. We make things by hand mostly. It takes time, and sometimes we run behind schedule when a machine breaks or a shipment of materials is late. That is just how it goes in a small workshop. We are not a big factory with hundreds of people. It is just a few of us who know how to stitch and cut. We do not spend money on fancy advertisements. Most people find us through word of mouth or just by walking past the shop. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of tools and rolls of material piled up. We keep our heads down and focus on the work. It is not a glamorous life, but there is something nice about finishing a piece and seeing it ready to go. We have been in this spot for years and do not plan on moving. If you need something made of leather, this is where we do it. No frills, just honest labor in a small lane.
