Leather Art Emporium

We’ve been operating Leather Art Emporium out of E-6 Main Road in Kalkaji for quite a while now. Being right on the main road means we get a lot of dust from the cars passing by, so I’m constantly wiping down the glass cases. It’s a small shop. We mostly focus on things made of real leather. I spend a lot of time explaining the difference between the various types of hides to people who wander in. The shop floor is a bit uneven in one corner, so you have to watch your step. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media person; it's just us and the inventory. Some of the jackets and bags have been on the shelves for a while, and others go as soon as they arrive. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate the process. If someone wants something custom, we see if we can do it, but sometimes we just can’t, and we tell them that straight up. Kalkaji is a busy area with a lot of shops, so we just try to be the place where people know they can get something honest and simple. The old clock on the wall hasn’t worked in years, but we keep it there because it looks nice and feels like part of the family history of this place.
