We are located at D-188 in the Flatted Factory Complex which is right in the middle of Okhla Industrial Area Phase-III. Delhi can be a very chaotic place to work but being in a flatted factory complex means we have our own defined space among many other small businesses. Our unit is basically one large room that we have divided up with some wooden partitions to make a separate area for the office work and the storage. The elevators in the building are old and sometimes they don't work so we end up carrying things up and down the stairs which is good exercise I guess. We have a lot of parts and components sitting on shelves because we deal with international stuff and you never know when a specific bit will be needed. The light in here isn't the best so we have a lot of tube lights fixed to the ceiling that hum a little when they are on. There is always someone working on a machine or packing a box for shipping so there is a constant background noise of tape dispensers and tools. We take our breaks on the balcony when the weather is nice enough though in the summer it is too hot to even open the door. It’s a very practical setup and we don't spend money on things we don't need like fancy furniture or rugs. We just show up do the work and try to beat the traffic on the way home.
