Our place is Shed No. 2 in Subbaraju Industrial Estate. It’s out near Kothanur Dinne, right off Bannerghatta Road. It gets pretty dusty there with all the trucks moving in and out of the estate all day long. The shed is big enough for our machines and the stock we keep on the shelves. Most days, the sound of the nearby traffic is just background noise to us. Coloutech Products has been in this spot for some time now. It’s a proper industrial area, so nobody minds the noise we make during the day. We aren’t really set up for visitors, so the space is mostly filled with stuff we use for production and some boxes. The floors are concrete and usually stained, and we have a small desk tucked in the corner for doing the paperwork. Working on Bannerghatta Road means you have to plan your day around the traffic jams. We usually get in early to beat the worst of it. The guys in the other sheds are alright; we help each other out if someone needs a tool or a hand moving something heavy. It’s a practical place to work. We don't have air conditioning, so we keep the big doors open for a breeze even when it’s hot. It’s a lot of manual work and making sure everything is shipped out on time. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Just the shed and the work.
