A-22 Okhla Phase I is where we spend most of our time. It’s a big industrial block and the building has been around for quite a few years. It’s not the prettiest place, just concrete and heavy doors. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of machines and people moving crates around. We have a small office area partitioned off with some glass, but you can still hear everything going on in the production area. It’s always a bit dusty, no matter how much we clean. The air smells like metal and cardboard most days. We have a small break area with a kettle and some mismatched mugs. It’s where we sit and talk about things other than work for twenty minutes. The commute to Phase I can be a real headache with the metro construction and the trucks blocking the main turns. Sometimes the delivery vans get stuck in the narrow lane outside our gate. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights. Just the company name on a small board near the entrance. Most of the people working here have been with us for a long time, so we all know each other's habits. We just try to get the orders out on time and keep the machines running without too many breakdowns. It's a lot of physical work and staying on your feet for hours.
