Western Cranes & Hoists Inc.

Our office is tucked away in the F.F. Complex over in Okhla Phase III. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how busy the industrial area gets. We are in C-113, and it’s a pretty functional space. We deal with cranes and hoists, which means we spend a lot of time thinking about heavy lifting and how to move things from one place to another. It’s not really a desk job for most of us. We are often out looking at equipment or talking to the guys about the latest assembly. The complex can get a bit crowded with all the different businesses here, but it’s a good place to be if you’re in the industrial sector. We started small and just kept at it, day after day. Our walls are covered with technical drawings and some old calendars. It gets pretty warm in the summer months, but we have some fans going to keep us moving. We don't go in for big speeches about what we do. We just make sure the hoists are solid and the cranes do what they are supposed to. Most of our day is spent answering phones or checking on parts that just arrived. It’s steady work and we like the routine of it. Sometimes we stay late to finish up a particularly tricky job, but that’s just part of being in this industry. We just try to be practical about everything.
