Vmmc And Safderjung Hospital

If you head up to the 6th floor of the Vmmc building, you’ll find the Department of Pharmacology. This isn't the part of Safdarjung Hospital where you see the main crowds or the emergency room chaos. Up here, it’s a bit different. We spend our time dealing with the study of medicines and how they work. It’s a lot of paperwork, lab work, and sitting at desks. The 6th floor has its own rhythm. We see students coming in for their classes and researchers looking over their data. It’s a bit more academic than the rest of the hospital. The walls are lined with files and old medical books. We’ve been located here for quite some time, and the department has seen a lot of changes in how things are done. It’s not a place that gets a lot of visitors from the general public, but we are an essential part of the bigger hospital structure. We don't have fancy signs or a reception area designed to impress. It’s just a functional workspace for people who care about the science of medicine. Sometimes the elevators take a long time to get up to the 6th floor, so we end up walking the stairs instead. It’s a quiet, busy corner of the institution where we focus on our specific tasks. We are just a group of staff and faculty members getting through the daily grind of research and teaching for the students.
