Vandana Estate

Our place is in the basement at D-18 in Amar Colony, which is part of Lajpat Nagar Part IV. If you know where the Blind School is, we are just right behind that. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but once you find the stairs leading down, it’s easy enough. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler during those really hot Delhi summers, which is nice because the AC doesn't have to work as hard. We have some old filing cabinets and a big table where we spread out documents. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. Just a practical space where we do our work. Amar Colony is a busy neighborhood, always something going on outside, people moving around, and the sound of rickshaws. We get a lot of locals coming in just to ask about rents or what’s happening with the property prices lately. We’ve been at this address for a while now, so the regular faces know where to find us. Sometimes the light isn't the best down here, but we have enough lamps to see what we are doing. We usually open up around mid-morning and stay until the evening. It’s a steady kind of life, mostly just talking to people and trying to help them figure out their housing situations without making it too complicated for anyone involved.
