Unimach Engineers. Nehru Place. We are in Skipper House on the ground floor. Nehru Place is a madhouse most days. It’s the place to be if you’re doing anything with machines or tech. Our office is easy to find since we’re right on the ground floor. We have parts and tools scattered around. There’s always a smell of grease or metal in the air. We’ve been here since the building was newer. Now everything looks a bit worn out but that’s just how Nehru Place is. People are always rushing past the window. We have a few technicians who are always out on jobs. The rest of us stay here and deal with the drawings and the phone calls. It’s a lot of technical talk. We don't have a fancy reception area. You just walk in and someone will look up from their desk. We drink our tea in plastic cups from the vendor outside. It’s loud, it’s messy, and it’s very busy. We keep the old filing cabinets because they still work fine. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just how we do things here. We’ve got a lot of history in this little ground-floor space. The clock on the wall is five minutes fast but we never bother to fix it. It's our little world here.
