The Green Wok

You can find us over at Plot No 177 in Sector 9 A, Gurgaon. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but we’ve been at this spot for a while. We do mostly Asian-style food, lots of stir-frying and steaming. The kitchen is usually the loudest part of the whole place because of the heavy burners. We don't really bother with a lot of marketing or fancy talk. We just focus on the orders that come in. Some days the phone doesn't stop ringing for deliveries, and other days it’s just people walking in from the nearby offices. Sector 9 A is a busy area, so there’s always something happening outside our door. We’ve had to fix the plumbing a few times and the roof leaked once during a heavy monsoon, but we stayed open. It’s just a normal business run by normal people. We try to keep the vegetables fresh and the rice cooked right. Our staff has been with us for a bit, so everyone knows their job. We don't have a huge dining area, so things can get a little cramped during the peak hours. It’s mostly about getting the food out hot and fast. We’re not trying to change the world, just trying to make sure everyone who eats here leaves satisfied. That’s how we do things at the H.O. every day. It’s hot and fast-paced, but we like the energy of it.
