Sun Metal

Sun Metal is tucked away on Milan Road over in the Govindpuri part of Kalkaji. Our address is 663/8, and it’s a place where we deal with all sorts of metal materials. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there’s always something happening outside the doors. We spend a lot of our time sorting through stock and making sure we have what people are asking for. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be organized, or we’d run out of space pretty fast. We’ve been here in Kalkaji for quite some time, and most of the locals know where to find us. It’s a bit of a gritty job, handling heavy sheets and rods all day, but we don't mind the hard work. We aren't the type to wear suits or have formal meetings. Most of our business happens over the counter or on the sidewalk while we’re loading a truck. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult on Milan Road, but we manage. We try to keep our prices fair because we know the people we sell to are mostly small contractors or hobbyists. It’s just a normal metal yard with a few guys who know their stuff. We don't have a marketing team; we just answer the phone and help whoever walks in. It’s a simple life and we like the community around Govindpuri. We often sit outside during lunch when the weather is decent. It’s been home for us for a long time now.
