Bhushan Steel

You can find our Bhushan Steel office over in Saket, New Delhi. We are situated at 45-D on the second floor in L-Block. It’s a bit different being in a place like Saket compared to a factory site. It is mostly office work here. We handle a lot of the coordination and the numbers that keep things running. Being on the second floor means we get a little bit of a view of the street, which is always busy with cars and people going to the markets nearby. The space is a bit cramped because we have a lot of files and old records kept in cabinets. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to open the door for you; you just walk in and someone will be there at a desk. The air conditioning is usually running because Delhi heat is no joke, especially in June. We drink a lot of tea while we go over the logistics of the steel shipments. It is not a silent office by any means. There is always someone talking on a mobile or the sound of a printer going off. We try to keep things simple and don't worry too much about having the latest furniture. As long as the computers work and the phones are ringing, we are doing our job. Most of us take the metro or find a spot for our scooters in the crowded lanes downstairs.
