Summer Garments

Over at B-6/7 in Okhla Indl Area Phase-Ii, you'll find Summer Garments. It’s a busy little corner. We have sewing machines going almost all the time. The sound is actually kind of nice once you get used to it. We work with fabrics all day long. Sometimes there are piles of cotton everywhere, and other days it's something else entirely. We aren't a big high-end fashion house. We just make clothes. It’s practical work. Most of us live nearby or commute in from the surrounding neighborhoods. We know the security guard at the gate and the lady who sells snacks outside. It feels like a small community inside this industrial block. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch, but we don't mind too much if the tea is hot. We try to keep the place tidy, but when you're cutting cloth, scraps end up on the floor. That’s just part of the process. Summer Garments has been around for a while now. We don't do much advertising. People mostly find us because they know where B-6/7 is. It’s a simple setup. We take the fabric, we cut it, and we sew it. Then we pack it up for the day. It’s what we know how to do best. We aren't trying to be fancy, just doing the work that comes our way every morning.
