Shubham Hospital

This hospital is in DD-15 Kalkaji, right across from the Main Post Office. Being opposite the post office makes it easy for people to tell the auto drivers where to drop them off. Kalkaji is a crowded area, so there’s always something going on outside the front door. The building is one of those typical Delhi structures that’s been around for a while. We’ve got the regular white walls and the smell of floor cleaner everywhere. There are a lot of people coming and going because of the location. The staff usually gets here around nine and starts sorting through the paperwork. It’s a bit of a squeeze when there are a lot of families waiting, but people manage. The benches are crowded, and someone is usually talking loudly on their phone in the hallway. We have a small lift but most people just take the stairs if they can. The windows don’t look out on much besides the street and the post office building. It’s pretty noisy during the day with the traffic and the horns. We keep a stack of old magazines in the corner, though nobody really reads them anymore. The tea man comes around twice a day with a tray. It's a busy little spot in a busy part of town. We just try to get the work done and keep the lines moving as much as possible before we close up for the night.
