Shri Metal Containers

If you head over to the Dsidc Complex in Phase I of the Okhla Industrial Area, you will find us at units 231 and 232. Shri Metal Containers has been operating out of this space for quite some time now. Okhla is a busy, dusty place with a lot of energy. Our units are usually filled with the sound of metal being moved and containers being stacked. It is a bit of a maze in the Dsidc complex, but once you find our numbers, it’s pretty straightforward. We make metal containers of various sizes. It is noisy work, and the floors are always a bit oily or dusty, no matter how much we sweep. We have a crew that has been with us for a long time. We don't really use big words or have fancy titles for everyone. We just know who does what. The trucks come in the morning to pick up the crates, and that is usually our busiest time. In the afternoon, it gets a bit quieter, and we can catch up on the assembly. We have a small area where we keep our tools and another corner for taking tea. It isn't the kind of place you'd see in a magazine. It’s a real factory floor where people get their hands dirty. We just focus on finishing the orders we have on the books. It’s a living, and we’re glad to be doing it here.
