Our place is at H.No.11A/21B in the Molarband Extension of Badarpur. Being in New Delhi means we deal with a lot of noise and a lot of people every single day. The address is actually a house number, which tells you a bit about how we started out. It’s a tight space, and we have to be really organized to make sure we aren’t tripping over each other. We work with various metals, doing the kind of tasks that need to be done but aren't very glamorous. There is always a pile of scrap somewhere that needs sorting or a new batch of parts coming in. We drink a lot of tea to stay going, especially when the Delhi summer hits. It gets stuffy inside, so we keep the fans running all day long. Most of us have been working together for a few years now, so we have a good flow going. We don’t use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just take the metal, do what needs to be done with it, and move it on. The traffic in Badarpur can be a nightmare for deliveries, so we try to get our driving done early in the morning before it gets too clogged up. It’s just a normal job for us. We show up, work hard, and head home to rest. That’s really all there is to it.
