Safdar Jung Hospital

Ward No-9 at Safdar Jung Hospital is a place that never really sleeps. If you have ever been to a big public hospital, you know what it is like. There are rows of beds and people coming and going at all hours. We spend our days and nights here looking after the patients assigned to this ward. It is a very hands-on environment. The floor is often busy with nurses checking vitals and cleaning staff keeping the area as tidy as possible given how many people are around. It is not a private room setting; it is a shared space where everyone is going through their recovery together. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the sounds of medical carts or families talking, but we try to keep a bit of order. The windows are usually open to let some air in, and the lighting is the standard hospital kind. We do not have a lot of bells and whistles here. Our main job is to follow the doctors' orders and make sure the patients get their medicine on time. You see a lot of different stories in Ward 9. Some people are only here for a day, while others stay for a long time. We get to know the regulars pretty well. It is a tough job sometimes, and the ward can feel a bit crowded, but we do what we can with the resources we have. It is a place of work, healing, and a lot of patience.
