S. S. Engineering Works

Our workshop, S. S. Engineering Works, is at number 222 in Shutter Wali Gali. You can find us off the Dewali Khanpur Road in the village area of Dewali. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here if you aren’t used to the local roads, but we’ve been here long enough that most people know the way. The shop is a basic metalworking space. We have some lathes, a welding set, and various hand tools that have seen a lot of use over the years. We do a lot of small engineering jobs for people in the village and the surrounding area. Sometimes it’s fixing a gate, other times it’s making a specific part for a machine. There’s no big corporate structure here. It’s just us doing the physical labor every day. The walls are a bit stained from the oil and smoke, and the floor is usually covered in metal shavings. We don't have a front desk or any sales people. If you need something, you just come to the Shutter Wali Gali entrance and shout for one of us. We take things as they come and try to give everyone a fair price for the work. It’s a traditional kind of engineering shop where the focus is on getting the hands-on tasks finished. We aren’t interested in being the biggest company, just in doing enough work to keep the lights on and help out the locals who depend on us.
