We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers or trying to figure out the logistics of moving gourmet items around without too much delay. It’s a lot of mundane stuff like double-checking invoices and making sure the delivery guys know where they are going. Khizrabad has its own rhythm, and we’ve just sort of blended into it. Sometimes the stairs up to the first floor feel a bit steep after a long day, but that’s just how it is. We aren't trying to be fancy, even if the name says gourmet. It’s just a group of us here trying to keep things moving and making sure the orders are right. There’s always someone coming in or out, and the tea guy stops by every afternoon which is usually the highlight of the day. It’s just work.
