Ratan Engineerings Co. (P) Ltd. is situated at Plot No R-7 in Nehru Enclave, which is over in the Kalkaji area of New Delhi. It’s an interesting spot because you have residential houses not too far away from the commercial spaces. The parking situation can be a bit of a headache, as anyone who has visited this part of the city can tell you. Our building is a simple structure, and we’ve tried to make the best use of the space we have. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of files. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. When you walk in, you’re pretty much right in the middle of where the work happens. We spend our hours dealing with various engineering tasks and talking to clients on the phone. It can get pretty loud when everyone is busy at the same time. The summer heat in Delhi is always a challenge, so we rely heavily on our cooling units to keep things comfortable enough to work. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We don’t spend much time thinking about anything other than the projects we have on our plates right now. It’s a very practical environment where the focus is just on getting the day’s work finished so we can beat the evening traffic home.
