If you ever walk down the lane at T-345, Lado Sarai, you will find us right across from the Shiv Mandir. The bells from the temple ring pretty often and you can hear them clearly inside the workshop of Rajshree Garments Pvt Ltd. It is a busy little spot and sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit stuck because the road is narrow. Inside, we have rows of sewing machines and a lot of fabric rolls stacked up against the walls. We do not have any big corporate offices or anything like that. Just a few desks pushed together and a lot of thread everywhere. Some days are really hectic when we have a big batch of clothes to finish. The tailors talk a lot while they work and there is usually some tea being passed around in small glasses. We deal with all kinds of garments and sometimes the floor gets so cluttered with thread and offcuts that you can hardly see the tiles. It is a simple operation and we just focus on getting the stitching straight. Most of us live nearby so we just walk to the unit every morning. The weather can be a bit much sometimes but the fans keep the air moving enough to work. We just keep track of things in big ledgers and try to make sure nothing gets lost in the middle of all the cloth piles. It is just our daily life here.
