You can find us at TA-93D, up on the second floor. Radiate Designs is a bit of a tight squeeze with all the computers and the drafting tables we have packed in here. It’s where all the planning happens before anything actually gets built. We spend hours staring at screens, moving lines around until a layout looks halfway decent. The second floor gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. It’s not a silent office. There’s usually someone arguing about a measurement or talking loudly on the phone to a contractor. We have rolls of drawings leaning against almost every wall, and half-empty cups of tea sitting on the edges of desks. It’s a busy environment where things change quickly. A design that looked good yesterday might not work today once we see the actual site dimensions. We don't have a fancy lobby or a person to greet you at the door. You just walk in and see us working. We are just a group of people who like to figure out how things should look and then draw them up so someone else can build them. It’s a lot of detail work and sometimes our eyes get tired, but it’s what we do. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the drawings in front of us. Most of the time, the hardest part is just finding a clean spot to put a laptop down. We usually end up eating snacks while we work.
