Our unit is at No- A-132/133 in Lajpat Nagar. It’s a busy industrial pocket where everyone is always doing something. We do a lot of processing work here. The floor is usually covered in bits of material, and the machines hum all day long. It isn’t a quiet place to work, but you get used to the rhythm of it. We have a few big rooms filled with equipment and piles of stock waiting to be handled. We don’t have fancy signs or a glass front. People who need us usually know exactly where to find us in the block. Most of our time is spent watching the gauges and making sure the processors are running smoothly. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves right there on the spot. We wear heavy clothes and boots because it can get messy. The summer heat makes the metal building quite warm, so we use a lot of fans. We don't spend money on things we don't need, like expensive furniture or art for the walls. We just want to get the processing done correctly so the next person in the chain can do their job. It’s a simple, blue-collar environment where we value getting the work finished on time. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or the weather.
