Our office is located at G 2 in the Osian Building, which is part of Building No 12 in Nehru Place. If you know Nehru Place, you know it’s always crowded and loud. There are people everywhere looking for computers or food. We are right on the ground floor, so it’s easy to step inside and get away from all that heat for a minute. Most of our day is spent talking to people about land and buildings. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls that never seem to end. The office isn't very large, but it fits what we need. We have some desks and chairs and files stacked up in the corners. Nehru Place has a certain energy that you don't find elsewhere in Delhi. You see the same faces every day, the guys selling tea or the ones fixing laptops on the pavement. We’ve been here long enough that the guards know us by name. It’s a practical place to work because everything is nearby. When the weather gets really hot, we just keep the door shut and try to get through the files. People stop by to ask about rents or prices in the area. We just tell them what we know based on what we see happening on the streets. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till the sun goes down. There isn't much more to it than that.
