Preet Forging(P) Ltd (Yerik Group)

We have been at O-33 in Lajpat Nagar Part 2 for a while now. Preet Forging(P) Ltd is what’s on the sign, and we are part of the Yerik Group, though it usually feels like just a regular shop floor once the machines start up. People walk by our place in the morning while we are already getting things ready. Forging is loud work. You can hear the metal being hit from down the street. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, with the grease and the heat from the furnaces, but it is what we do. Our guys have been working these machines for years. Some of them know the sounds of the equipment better than their own cars. We handle the heavy stuff, mostly. Lajpat Nagar is a busy area, so there is always noise outside anyway, but we add our own rhythm to it. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much with the group requirements, but mostly we just focus on the orders. It gets dusty in the summer and a bit cramped when a big shipment comes in. We try to keep things organized at O-33, but when you are dealing with forged parts, there is only so much tidiness you can manage. It’s a practical place. We don’t have fancy carpets or anything like that. Just concrete, heavy tools, and the smell of hot iron. That is how a day goes for us here in the shop.
