Practising Lawyer Advocate

I work as a lawyer out of a small office in Khirki Extension, Malviya Nagar. The address is 6 R 71, and it’s a pretty busy part of the city. Being an advocate means my days are split between the courts and this office. It’s on the ground floor, which is convenient because clients don't have to search for long. Inside, you’ll find stacks of law books and files everywhere. There’s no big reception desk or anything, just a few chairs for people to sit while we talk about their cases. I’ve been practicing here for a good number of years now. Most of the people who come to see me are from the local neighborhood. We deal with all sorts of things, from property papers to small court disputes. It’s a lot of reading and drafting legal documents. Sometimes the street outside is very loud with traffic and people, but that’s just how Malviya Nagar is. I try to give people straight answers about their legal problems without using too much complicated jargon. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially when the court dates are back to back, but it keeps me busy. The office is a simple place where we just focus on the law and helping people navigate the system. It is usually just me and a junior clerk making sure the filings are ready by the morning. We take our work seriously but keep the atmosphere very informal and relaxed for everyone.
