You can find us down in the basement at C4/129 in the Safdarjang Development Area. It’s not the biggest space, being below ground level, but it stays a bit cooler than the street outside when the sun is really hitting Delhi. We deal with pulses and various food items, so the basement works well for storage. It’s a bit of a maze getting down here with all the crates and bags stacked up, but we know where everything goes. The SDA area is usually pretty crowded, so finding a spot for the delivery trucks is always a headache we deal with every morning. We’re just a small group of people who’ve worked together for a while now. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy, just the address and our name on the door. Most of our day is spent sorting through stock or checking orders on the clipboard. We keep a kettle in the corner for making coffee during the breaks. It’s a bit cramped when we get a large shipment, but we manage by moving things around. We chose this spot because it's central, even if it's just a basement. We don't do much marketing or anything like that; people usually just find us through word of mouth or because they know the area. It’s just a regular workplace where we get on with things without making much of a fuss. We like the quiet down here.
