Peter N Paul Orchestra

So, Peter N Paul Orchestra is based in the basement of H-10 in South Extn Part-1. Most people just call the area NDSE. Having our space in a basement is actually pretty handy for us since we’re an orchestra. It helps keep the sound from bothering the neighbors too much, though I’m sure they can still hear us sometimes. The stairs down are a bit narrow, so carrying big instruments like the double bass can be a real struggle every time we have a gig. It’s not a very fancy place—just some rugs on the floor and lots of music stands everywhere. We’ve got old photos of past performances pinned to the walls and cables running all over the place. South Extn is a busy part of town, so there's always a lot of traffic and people outside, but once you go down those stairs, it gets a lot quieter. We’ve been operating out of this basement for years now. It’s become like a second home to us. We don’t have a big corporate office or a shiny showroom. It’s just a place to practice and keep our gear. We’re just a group of musicians who’ve stuck together, and this is where it all happens. It’s a bit dusty and cramped, but it’s where the music starts for us.
