Nisha Fashion Exports is located in Jogabai Extension, specifically at R-168/A on Street Number 6 in Jamia Nagar. If you know Okhla, you know how these streets can be—very narrow and always full of people and rickshaws. Our workshop is right in the middle of it. You can hear the hum of sewing machines from the moment you turn the corner. We have several tailors and cutters working in a small space, so it gets pretty crowded with rolls of fabric and threads. We mostly focus on garments and getting them ready for export. There’s fabric scraps all over the floor by the end of the day, and we have to do a big sweep every evening. It’s not a glamorous fashion studio like you see on TV. It’s a hardworking place where people are focused on their needles and patterns. The lighting isn't the best, but we've got extra lamps at every station. We’ve been in this street for a long time, and we know all the other workshop owners nearby. Sometimes we have to carry finished bundles out to the main road because the trucks can't fit down Street Number 6. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, especially when a deadline is coming up. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running to stay on schedule.
