Ninis Fashion House

If you are looking for us, we are down lane number 4 in Saidulajab. It’s 632 Westend Marg. The area has changed a lot lately with more small shops opening up around here. Ninis Fashion House is just our small corner where we deal with all sorts of clothing designs. It’s not always pretty inside. There are piles of fabric on the tables and sketches taped to the walls. We spend a lot of time just talking about how a certain sleeve should look or if a color is too bright. We don't follow a strict corporate schedule. Sometimes we start late and stay until the middle of the night because the lighting feels better for working then. The lane outside is narrow, so parking is always a headache for anyone visiting. We mostly just drink a lot of tea and keep the sewing machines humming. It’s a bit of a dusty job, to be honest. Clothes produce a lot of lint and we are constantly sweeping it up. We don’t have a big mission statement or a fancy philosophy. We just like making things that look good and fit right. Some days nothing seems to go right and we have to rip out stitches and start over, but that’s just part of the craft. We are just real people making clothes in a quiet Delhi lane.
