There are shoppers everywhere, people shouting, and a lot of energy. We are right in the thick of it at number 24. Our day starts with getting the stall ready while the rest of the market is waking up. We have to be quick because once the crowds arrive, there isn't much time to breathe. It’s a small place, and it can get quite hot in the summer standing there all day. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. We just have our small counter and the items we sell. People from all over the city come to this market, so we meet a lot of interesting folks. Some are in a huge rush and others like to stand around and talk for a bit. We just try to keep things moving so nobody has to wait too long. It’s a lot of noise and dust from the street, but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Being part of the life in Lajpat Nagar is something special. We just open up, do our work at number 24, and head home when the market finally quiets down. It is a long day but it is what we know.
