Nectar Fine Foods

You can find us at No-18/5 in the Main Market area, right near the Jama Masjid in Jamia Nagar. It’s a very crowded spot, especially on Fridays when the prayers finish and the whole street fills up with people and cycles. We deal with food products here at Nectar Fine Foods. The shop isn’t huge, but we make the most of the space we have. Boxes are usually stacked up to the ceiling because we get deliveries almost every other day. Working in Okhla means you get used to the noise and the constant movement of rickshaws right outside the door. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just a few of us handling the counter and the stock. We spend a lot of time checking the dates on the food items and making sure everything is fresh. The air in the market always smells like spices and street food, which is quite nice most of the time. Sometimes the rain makes the street muddy, and it’s a struggle to get the goods inside without getting them wet. We just do our work and go home. People from the neighborhood stop by to see what’s new in stock. We don’t make big promises, we just try to have what people are looking for when they walk in. It’s a simple way to earn a living right in the heart of the community near the masjid.
