If you’ve ever walked through the narrow lanes of Shahpur Jat, you probably know how easy it is to get lost. Nayamigro Fashion is tucked away here, not too far from the Green Park side. It’s an old neighborhood that turned into a hub for clothes and design. Our space is more of a working studio than a showroom. We have tailors sitting and working on patterns while we manage the fabric sourcing. The stairs are narrow and the building has that old Delhi character that you can't really find in the newer malls. Most of our time goes into looking at swatches and making sure the fit is okay. It gets a bit crowded when a new shipment of cloth arrives and we have to find space to store everything. Being near Green Park is handy for getting around, but Shahpur Jat has its own pace. We deal with a lot of local suppliers who walk in and out all day. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There’s always someone shouting for tea or the sound of a motorbike squeezed into the alleyway. We started Nayamigro because we liked the energy of this area. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to make decent clothes that people actually want to wear. Every day brings a different challenge, whether it’s a delay in delivery or a machine breaking down. We just fix it and keep going.
