We’re located at T-15 in Phase II of the Okhla Industrial Area. If you’ve ever been to Okhla, you know it’s a maze of factories and workshops. Our place is no different. We make garments here, so the whole floor is usually covered in thread, fabric scraps, and patterns. It’s a loud environment with all the machines going at once, but we’re used to it. We don’t have a fancy office or a place to sit and relax. Mostly, we are on our feet or hunched over the tables checking the stitching on various pieces. It gets pretty hot in the summer months, even with the fans going full blast. We’ve got a group of workers who have been with us for a long time. There’s always a rush to finish orders before the weekend. We drink a lot of tea to keep going during the long shifts. The trucks are constantly coming in to drop off cloth or pick up finished boxes. It’s a very hands-on kind of business. We don't spend money on decor or nice furniture because we need the space for the work. Sometimes we lose track of time because there’s so much to do. It’s just a plain factory space where we get things done. We don’t have any big speeches about what we do; we just focus on the clothes and making sure they are ready. It's hard work but it's what we do every day.
