Working out of Okhla Industrial Estate Phase I at plot 170 means you get used to the heavy traffic and the constant sound of trucks. We have been in this spot for years. The workshop is a bit cramped because we have so many machines and raw materials piled up. Most days start at eight with a cup of tea. We look at what needs to be finished first. Metal fabrication is what happens here every day. It is greasy work and our hands are rarely clean. The guys on the shop floor have been with us a long time. They know how the old machines' temperamental behavior works better than anyone. We don’t have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a small room with a couple of chairs and a filing cabinet that won't close right. Customers come in, show us what they need, and we figure it out. Sometimes the rain leaks through a small patch in the roof. We just move the stuff out of the way and keep going. It’s an honest way to make a living. Okhla is a busy place and there is always something happening outside our door. We just focus on the metal and the orders we have. It’s not always easy, especially when it's hot, but we get it done. We might not be the quickest to answer the phone, but we are always working on something. Metal Krafts is just a practical place.
