Md Bakar

This place is run by Md Bakar and we are up on the 4th floor here in New Delhi. The address says 7A, and it’s a bit of a climb if the power goes out, though mostly the lift works fine. We are right in that busy part of the city near the Haryana border area, zip 110025. It gets really noisy outside with the traffic and the horns, but once you get up to the fourth floor, it gets a little bit quieter. I’ve been here for a few years now. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't really matter for the work we do. We have a few desks and some old chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. My cousin helps me out sometimes when there’s too much to handle. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day to keep going. The light coming through the window is actually quite nice in the afternoons. Most people who come here are locals who know the shortcut through the back alley. It’s not a polished corporate space with a receptionist. You just walk in and find me or whoever is around. We don't have fancy brochures to hand out. We just tell people what we can do and then we do it. Delhi is a fast place, but we try to take things one step at a time here. It is just a regular local business.
