We run things out of a DDA Flat in Pushp Enclave, specifically 14/359. It’s a residential area, so it feels a bit different than a standard office block. You have to walk up the stairs, and you can usually smell someone’s lunch cooking in the flat next door. We’ve converted the main rooms into our workspace. It’s filled with filing cabinets, a few computers, and samples of the stuff we import and export. The balcony is mostly used for storing empty cartons and taking a quick break to look at the trees outside. It’s quiet compared to the main roads, which we like. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep the noise down when we are moving things around. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We sit at mismatched desks and drink tea out of mugs we brought from home. Sometimes the courier guys get lost trying to find the specific block, so we end up standing by the gate to wave them down. There is a small park nearby where some of us go for a walk during lunch if it’s not too hot. Working from a flat gives the whole business a more personal feel, I think. We’ve been at this address for years and it just feels like home now. No fancy lobby, just a doorbell and a busy room where we get our work done day after day without too much fuss.
