Shriji Mercantile

Shriji Mercantile is tucked away in Okhla Phase 1, specifically near Village Tekhand in New Delhi. If you know this area, you know how the traffic can get during the morning rush. The building at 184 A is where we manage all the paperwork and the day-to-day trading activities. It’s a busy spot with trucks constantly moving in and out of the industrial lanes nearby. Inside our space, it’s mostly just desks, a few old chairs, and piles of ledgers that we still prefer to keep handy. We drink a lot of tea throughout the afternoon, usually ordered from the small stall just down the road. The noise from the street never really stops, but after a few weeks of working here, you just stop hearing it. We deal with various goods and the phone rings quite often with people asking about shipments or pricing. It’s not a quiet job, but it keeps us on our toes. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to stop everything for a day to get it done. We just focus on getting the orders sorted and making sure the inventory matches what we have written down. Being in Okhla means we are right in the middle of everything, which makes it easier for people to find us even if the lanes are a bit narrow and confusing for newcomers. It’s just a normal workplace where we get through the day.
