If you go down to the Raja Ram D D A Market in Madangir, you’ll find us at shop number 10. Aastha Aqua Appliances is a local spot that’s been around the market for a good bit of time. It’s a busy market area, so there’s always something going on right outside our door, from vegetable sellers to people just chatting. Inside, we have a lot of different parts and machines sitting on the shelves and sometimes on the floor too. It’s not a showroom with bright lights and fancy music playing. It’s just a shop where work happens. We spend most of our time fixing things or talking to customers who need something for their homes. Being in a DDA market means we see the same faces every week. We know the other shop owners around here well, and we often share a cup of tea in the afternoons. We don’t really use big words or try to sell people stuff they don’t actually need. People come in, tell us what’s wrong with their machine, and we see if we can fix it. It’s pretty straightforward and honest. The space isn’t huge, so we have to stay organized, even though it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider who isn't used to it. We don't have a big corporate office somewhere else; this is it. Shop number 10 is where we are every day from morning until we close up the shutters at night.
