If you look for C-1, House No. 235 A in Gali No. 4, you’ll find us. We are right near the Sherawat Gas Agency, which is the easiest way to explain where we are to anyone looking. The shop is basically part of the house, which makes for a very short commute every morning. There are piles of fabric and finished clothes everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, especially when a new shipment arrives and we haven't found a place for it yet. The sewing machines hum all day long, and the iron is always hot and steaming. We don't have a fancy showroom with mannequins; people just come in and look through the racks we’ve set up. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even for those of us who aren't related. We drink a lot of water because the steam from the presses makes the room quite warm during the peak hours. Sometimes the neighbor's kids run through the alley, making a lot of noise, but we don't mind much. We spend our evenings folding things and putting them into plastic bags for delivery. The light in the back room flickers sometimes, and we keep meaning to fix it, but there’s always more stitching to do. It’s a humble setup, but we manage to get plenty of work finished by the time we shut the doors at night.
