We’re located at F 209, on the first floor along the Old MB Road in Lado Sarai. It’s right opposite to Kashmir Haat, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us. Mandira Wirk Designs Llp is a design-focused place, so our space is often filled with sketches, fabric swatches, and measuring tapes. Lado Sarai has become quite a hub for creative types over the years, which is nice. There are art galleries and design studios all around. Our first-floor spot gives us a bit of a view of the street, which can be quite entertaining. The traffic on Old MB Road is almost always heavy, so there’s a constant hum of engines in the background. We’ve learned to tune it out. We aren’t a huge corporation with layers of management. It’s just a small group of us who really care about design. We spend a lot of time debating over colors and textures. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. Not just sitting at a computer all day. Sometimes we stay late when we’re in the middle of a project, and the area gets quite quiet then. We like the vibe of Lado Sarai. It feels like a place where things are actually being made. We don’t do much advertising. People usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking past our sign on the road.
