Lotus Refrigeration

Our little shop is C-895 over in Ward No. 8, right near Maruti Compident here in Mehrauli. It’s not a huge place, just a regular shop where we spend most of our hours fixing up cooling units that have given up. If you are looking for us, we are pretty close to the main landmarks, so it’s not too hard to stumble upon. The space inside is a bit tight because we have compressors and gas cylinders taking up most of the floor. Often, the street outside is busy with people heading to work or running errands. We've seen a lot of changes in Mehrauli over the years, but the shop stays pretty much the same. Most of our day is spent with screwdrivers and testing gauges. We don’t really do anything else but refrigeration. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty with all the old machines coming in, but we clean up when we can. It’s just a few of us here working. We don't really have a big team or a receptionist. If the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. Usually, people come in because someone else told them we were here. We just try to get the machines running again so folks can have cold water and keep their food fresh. It’s basic work but it keeps us busy enough for the most part.
