Lilaram Manomal & Sons

We are tucked away in Office No.175 right in the middle of Mangal Bazar. If you know Naya Mandir, you know how busy it gets around here. It’s mostly just us and the noise from the street vendors outside. Lilaram Manomal & Sons has been our name for a long time now. My sons come in every morning and we open up the shutters. The office isn't much to look at, just some chairs and old desks piled with papers. We spend most of our day talking to people who walk in or handling the stuff that comes through the door. It gets really hot in the afternoons but the ceiling fan works okay. People usually find us by looking for the old sign near the stairs. We don't have any fancy reception or anything like that. It’s just a place where work happens. Sometimes the tea man from the corner brings us something around eleven. We’ve lived in this area and worked in this market for so many years that everyone knows the family. We don't bother with much of the new technology if we don't have to. We just stick to what we know and keep the records in the big ledgers. It’s a simple life here in the bazar and we like it that way even if it’s loud. The neighbors are good people and we all just try to get through the day's tasks without too much fuss. We finish up late and head home to eat.
