Indigenecraft

Indigenecraft is situated at G-55 Lower Ground in Lajpat Nagar Part 1. We spend most of our time down here working on different things. The shop is in a busy part of the neighborhood. It is not a huge place, just a basement spot really. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about the crafts we have. We have been at this address for a while now. Some days it gets quite crowded with boxes and materials all over the floor. You have to watch your step when you come in. There is a lot to look at, mostly stuff made by hand. It is just a few of us here doing the daily work. We do not have fancy displays or anything like that. It is more about getting the orders ready and making sure things look okay. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, but we get used to it. The area is always noisy with traffic outside. We just keep the door shut and focus on what is in front of us. It is a practical space for what we do. Nothing more, nothing less. If you are walking around Lajpat Nagar, you might miss the sign if you are not looking down towards the lower ground. It is just a regular workplace where we try to keep things moving. We handle the packing and the making right here in this small room. It gets the job done for Indigenecraft. We do not have much room for visitors to sit, so people usually just stand around and chat for a bit. There is always a lot of tape and cardboard around.
