Our office is tucked away at D 15 in Amar Colony, which is part of Lajpat Nagar 4 in New Delhi. It is a pretty typical neighborhood spot for this part of the city. We aren’t in one of those huge commercial parks; we are right here among the houses and local shops. The street can get a bit tight with parking, so most of us have learned the best times to arrive. Inside the Kpmg office, things are kept fairly simple. We have our computers and a small area for tea. It’s a bit of a walk from the main market, but it’s quieter back here. We spend most of our time at our desks just getting through the folders and emails. It’s a bit of a lived-in space, not something out of a magazine. We have some plants that we try to keep alive and a few old calendars on the walls. The staff here is used to the rhythms of Amar Colony, like the local vendors passing by. We don’t really go for big corporate vibes. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and head home. It’s a decent place to spend the day. We’ve been in this building for a while and the neighbors know us by now. It’s just a regular work day for us here. We don't have a fancy lobby, just a door and our desks.
