Kanakam Garments

Kanakam Garments is located over at TA- 93/1 in Tughlakabad Extn. If you know the area, you know the streets are narrow and always full of life. Our building is right in the middle of that. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but we like it here. We have been working out of this spot for a good bit of time. The rooms are filled with the sound of sewing machines and people talking over the noise. We handle all sorts of garment work. Sometimes it gets quite messy with scraps of fabric on the floor, but we clear it out at the end of the shift. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad. We see the same faces every day walking past the door. The bells from the local vendors are our background music. It’s a small team here. We don’t have fancy titles or a big HR department. When a big order comes in, everyone just rolls up their sleeves and gets to work. The tea breaks are the highlight of the afternoon. We usually sit on the stools near the entrance. It’s not a corporate office by any means. It’s just a place where we make clothes and try to do an honest job. The address is easy to remember once you’ve been here once or twice.
