Shan Fashion

Down in Gali No. 6 in Kalu Sarai, you can find us located at C 53. Shan Fashion has been operating out of this small space for some time now. It’s a very narrow street, so things get a bit tight whenever the deliveries arrive or when customers come in groups. We deal with all kinds of clothes and fabrics mostly. There are always sewing machines humming in the background and scraps of colorful cloth on the floor by the time the day ends. We aren't a big mall store with bright lights and fancy displays. It's much more of a workshop feel here. We keep ourselves busy with whatever orders come through the door. Sometimes we stay late into the night to finish a batch of work when things get backed up. The lighting isn't always the best in the back rooms, but we know exactly where every roll of fabric is kept. Customers usually come in with very specific things in mind for their garments. We talk to them, show them what we have available, and go from there. It’s a simple, honest way of doing business. My family helps out sometimes when the workload gets really heavy. We’ve seen the whole neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we stayed right here in this same unit. It gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we keep the fans going. It’s a normal day-to-day grind for us.
